Cigars Partagás Capitols Review, July 2021

This vitola used to exist as a machine-made version. Now Partagás Capitols have come out with their reincarnation – upgraded one: totalmente a mano made from the full leaf. These cigars alongside the Romeo y Julieta Club Kings make up the new Línea Retro.

All the leaves for cigars Partagás Capitols are sourced from the finest tobacco plantations in Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Rio.

Partagás Capitols Cigar review

These cigars are very stylishly packed in retro metal cans, inspired by the cigar pocket cases that were very popular in 1970-s. Those original cases from the 70-s are now in high demand by collectors. These cigars come packed in fives.

Visual & Wrapper

The cigar has a bumpy, oily, darker colorado capa with visible veins. But its condition is good.

Cold nose

Wonderful strong aromas: dried manure, dried tobacco, sunflower oil. After the cut, on the cut: strong aroma of wet tobacco and a bit of honey.

I third

So bright, clear are the first draws! The cigar is “happy” and full of the Partagás taste. I can recognize the flavours of leather, dried soil in Summer time, the tone of smoke (yes, this tone does exist in the palette of cigar flavours).

Fortaleza is pleasantly high.
The tones of soil prevale later on. The cigar has a good firm ash.

Classic. The quality is adequate to its price, offering a good value for money.

II third

is adding coniferous aromas, and the tones of the noble rot.

The construction is stable, the draw is good.
Your palate is nicely covered with the taste of roasted sunflower seeds and toasts. The smoke is abundant, full of the aromas of wood, toasts, slightly burnt logs…

The sweetness is just optimal, the cigar is rather less sweet than some smokers like, for me it is great.

The last third

is adding the aromas of sauna, a tiny hint of pine needles and a lot of dry-cured meat – Spanish Jamón.

The smoke is so smooth and clear, and yet so sculptural, volumous.

Summary

I missed such a charactful Partagas!

The room after smoking this cigar is filled with that wonderful heavy and aromatic Partagás smoke which normally prevales in the cigar salones.
Partagás Capitols – good vitola with a noticeable character. Full-bodied. And yes, I would say it is retro in a good way, with its genuine straight character, a proper and healthy Partagas. It is multi-toned and well-balanced.

Новые кубинские сигары Partagás Capitols – по большому счету, не совсем новые, они – реинкарнация когда-то выходивших сигар машинной скрутки. Сейчас это – полноценные сигары премиум-класса из цельного листа, выполненные полностью вручную. Табаки для сигар Partagas Capitols используются с лучших плантаций в особом районе табаководства – Vuelta Abajo.

Внешний вид и покров

Сигары бугристые, масляный покровный лист колорадо-мадуро, с видимыми венами. Состояние сигар хорошее. Посмотрим, каков будет рейтинг.

Холодный нос

Замечательные сильные ароматы: сушеный навоз, сушеный табак, подсолнечное масло. После обрезания на срезе: сильный аромат влажного табака и немного меда.

Первая треть

Какие яркие, четкие первые глотки! Сигара «веселая», она полна вкуса Partagas-а. Я могу распознать следующие ароматы: кожи, сухой почвы летом, тон дыма (да, этот тон существует в палитре сигарных ароматов).

Fortaleza / крепость приятно высока. В дальнейшем преобладают тона почвы. Сигара имеет хороший твердый пепел.

Вторая треть

добавляет хвойных ароматов и тона благородной гнили.

Конструкция устойчивая, тяга хорошая.

Нёбо приятно обволакивается вкусом жареных семечек и тостов.

Дым обильный, наполнен ароматами древесины, тостов, подгоревших поленьев. Сладость просто оптимальная, сигара менее сладкая, чем нравится многим курильщикам, но для меня это – отличная сладость.

Последняя треть

добавляет ароматы сауны, крохотную нотку сосновой хвои, много вяленого мяса – испанского хамона. Дым гладкий, и в то же время такой скульптурный.

Резюме

Соскучилась я по такому характерному Партагасу! Комната после курения этой сигары наполняется тем чудесным, тяжелым и ароматным дымом Partagás, который обычно превалирует в сигарных салонах.

Сигары Partagas Capitols – хорошие сигары с заметным характером. Полнотелые. И да, – я бы сказала, что это ретро в хорошем смысле слова, с искренним прямым характером правильного и здорового Partagas. Сигары многотоновы и хорошо сбалансированы.

ДОСТОИНСТВА: ко всему вышесказанному, прекрасное сочетание цена-качество.
