RAFAEL GONZÁLEZ Petit Piramides Edición Regionales 2013

Cigars Rafael González Petit Piramides Edición Regionales review, 2015

Today I’m tasting a nice looking pyramid, cigar of the Edición Regionales (ER) series. It is Rafael González Petit Piramides.
The cigars of this series are produced especially for certain countries or regions. Rafael González Petit Piramides are made for German market.
This not overly popular Cuban cigar marka (brand) Rafael González deserves attention and offers very good vitolas.

Cigar Rafael Gonzalez Petit Piramides Edición Regionales 2013 for Germany

Size: 50 X 127

Composition

  • Capa: Cuba
  • Capote: Cuba
  • Tripa: Cuba
  • Origin: Cuba
Visual & Wrapper

The cigar looks nice. It has a hazelnut-brown soft attractive capa. Excellent construction.

Cold nose

My vitola gives me surprisingly fresh cold aromas: tree buds and honey cake, with a tiny hint of orange.

In smoking

My tasting starts in a very pleasant way. This is a warm, comfortable, smokey, full-bodied cigar. I catch wonderful and comforting tones of: walnuts, sauna (rather the humid and healthy Russian Banya, being exact). There is also slightly sweet cashew sub-tone, stays for a short while.

For some smokers the draw could seam just a little too light, but in this case I am enjoying the generous amount of tasty warm smoke pouring into my mouth, so the slightly light draw seems pretty suitable for this vitola.

The 2nd part

gives me wonderful fine tones of musty moss, it reminds a bed of a forest musty grass and soil. Very pleasant and satisfying smoking. The ring gauge makes this not too big cigar to be well-rounded, full-boded, smooth, almost buttery. It’s just the right ring gauge for this vitola. Good ash, stable smoking. The strength (fortaleza) is medium-to-light.

The 3rd part

of this very pleasant ciar shows not many changes. It just keeps giving a lot of comforting and friendly smoke.

Rafael Gonzalez Edición Regionales

Summary

The cigar Rafael González Petit Piramides Edición Regionales is one of the successful vitolas made for the regional markets. I must say, not all of the Cuban Edición Regionales were successful. Also the cigar did not disappoint me as a representative of a pretty nice mild Cuban marka, one of my favourite.

The cigar Rafael González Edición Regionales Exclusivo Allemaina (Germany) is comforting, smokey, non-aggressive. BUT this is not a very consistent cigar, so I hope you are lucky when choosing your vitola.
